May 10, 2020: As British Columbia is slowly starting to open up businesses again, we are tentatively optimistic that we will be able to run our classes again by the summer. We have put up our schedule for July and will add more dates if they start filling.
Our goal is follow government recommendations to provide a workshop space that is as safe as possible. These precautions will be continually updated on an on-going basis as we are updated by the city.

1. What precautions are in place at the studio?
Our artists and instructors are sanitizing common spaces often and are currently working in their own separate spaces. It is mandatory for them to wear masks in all common areas and wash their hands frequently.
2. What new rules are in place for students?
a. We have reduced our class sizes to the recommended group size the government has suggested, often instructors are choosing even a smaller number of students at a time.
b. It is MANDATORY for all students who want to attend to have their temperature taken at the door (contactless), bring and wear a mask the entire time they are in the workshop, sanitize and wash their hands.
c. All personal belongings (phones included turned to silent) must be left in the cubbies at the front door, you will not be allowed to go retrieve anything once everyone has washed their hands.
d. You may not attend the class if you are displaying any kind of illness such as cough or sneezing. The instructor has a right to turn away any student at the door if they do not meet any of the guidelines.
3. How close will I be to other students in the class?
Our classroom is small but we are currently aiming to have 2 or 3 people per 8-foot table. This is less than half of our usual capacity. Some materials and equipment may be shared in class, this is why we ask everyone to wear masks and wash their hands.
4. What if my Groupon Voucher is expired or is expiring soon?
For the rest of 2020, we will be honouring all Groupon Vouchers that have expired or are expiring soon. You are able to book with them for all 2020 dates for the class you have purchased.
5. Should I attend a class if someone in my household or immediate circle has a suppressed immune system or is elderly?
We are taking all possible precautions while teaching these small classes but it is up to you to assess the risk factor you are comfortable with.
6. What if I’m still not comfortable attending classes in the summer yet?
We understand that everyone has different comfort levels while dealing with this pandemic. You may use your voucher (expired ones included) at a later date in the fall or early winter of 2020.
